Tara Scheppard, Head Veterinary Assistant

    Tara joined the team at Lanoka Oaks in August of 2003.  Before that, she was a certified pharmacy tech at Eckerd in Bayville.  Tara always had a love of animals since a young age.  While visiting her grandmother in Pa, she would spend her summer days taking care of animals on her farm.  Her favorites were all the cats. 

Tara has 5 cats, Sassy (who turned 25 on 1/19/10), Cheetara, Samantha, Pheobe and Piper.  Her new addition, Leo, her pound puppy who she rescued from the shelter in February of 08.  However, Liono and Lady Godive who are gone but never forgotten, will always be in her heart.

On a personal note, Tara and Andy will be married on August 8, 2010.   She is American Red Cross certified in pet CPR and first aid.

Carol joined the LOVC family in June of 2006.  She is the proud mom of 3 kids; Eddie-Scott , Cori  and Max,  partner to David, and Grandma to two very handsome boys E.J. and Alex.  She started in the pet business 15 years ago working with exotics and now not only has exotics but also has pot bellied pigs, goats, chickens and ducks and a turkey which her kids show in 4H.  Carol is also a 4H leader and can be seen often at the co-op extension building working on various projects (the family can always be seen with mulitple animals at the Ocean County Fair). 

There is a revolving door of cats which Carol and her family have been rescuing and adopting out for the past 8 years.  As if that wasn't enough, walking into Carol's home, you would be greated by the fabulous SIX...Coonhound Stella, Pitbull mix Kyra, Great Dane Falco, Cattle Dog mix Freida, Maltese Huka and Shepherd mix Armani.  Other than Falco, all are rescues that came and never left.  Carol feels like LOVC is what she has been searching for all these years to make her complete.  Carol is American Red Cross certified in pet CPR and first aid.  Because of her talents, you may find Carol working in front or the back.
